1. Purpose
The Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behaviour expected from all participants at DirLingua Language House.
The goal is to maintain a respectful, inclusive and productive learning environment for students, instructors, staff and guests.
By enrolling in any course, programme, workshop, webinar, seminar, accelerator or event organised by DirLingua Language House, participants agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
2. Respectful Behaviour
All participants must treat others with respect and professionalism at all times.
The following behaviours are expected:
- Respect toward instructors, staff and fellow participants.
- Openness to diverse cultures, languages and perspectives.
- Constructive participation in discussions and activities.
- Respect for shared learning spaces and materials.
3. Harassment and Discrimination
DirLingua Language House maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination or intimidation.
The following behaviours are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment or bullying.
- Discriminatory language or behaviour based on nationality, race, gender, religion, disability, sexual orientation or background.
- Offensive, threatening or abusive conduct.
- Disruptive behaviour that interferes with learning or events.
Any participant engaging in such behaviours may be removed from the programme without refund.
4. Professional Conduct
Participants are expected to behave in a professional manner during all activities.
Participants must:
- Follow instructor guidance and course rules.
- Participate respectfully in discussions.
- Avoid interrupting or disrupting sessions.
- Use appropriate language during in-person and online interactions.
5. Online Participation
For online classes, webinar and other events, participants must:
- Use respectful communication in chats and discussions.
- Avoid sharing offensive or inappropriate content.
- Not record sessions without permission from DirLingua Language House and/or the instructor.
6. Intellectual Property
Course materials, presentations, recordings, and educational content provided by DirLingua Language House are for personal educational use only.
Participants may not:
- Copy or distribute materials without permission
- Record sessions without authorisation
- Share course content publicly or commercially
7. Safety and Learning Environment
Participants must respect the learning environment and the safety of others.
Prohibited actions include:
- Damage to property or facilities
- Use of illegal substances during activities
- Any behaviour that threatens the safety or comfort of others
8. Violations of the Code of Conduct
If a participant violates this Code of Conduct, DirLingua Language House reserves the right to take appropriate action, including:
- Verbal or written warning
- Removal from a session, course or event
- Suspension or permanent removal from programmes
- Denial of certificates and/or participation in future activities
Serious violations may result in immediate removal without refund.
9. Reporting Concerns
Participants who experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct are encouraged to report it to DirLingua Language House staff or management.
All reports will be reviewed and handled confidentially and appropriately.
10. Agreement
By participating in any DirLingua Language House activity, participants confirm that they have read, understood and agree to comply with this Code of Conduct.
